So long 2018

Seeing Gary Numan live at the Tower Theater in Oklahoma City, 9/10/2018 was a highlight of the year.  His show was nostalgic and currently relevant.  I came close to missing this tour and am so glad that things came together. It was a trip I'll always remember.

My resolution this year regarding this blog is to post more.  That won't be hard because I really sucked at updating this year.  I haven't decided exactly what "more" will look like.  I guess I am still trying to find my "voice".

I am updating a Best of 2018 list at discogs and will post it once it is complete - or at least mostly complete.  I have a few stragglers that are officially released but the vinyl hasn't made it to me yet and a few wishlist items that I am trying to decide if I can afford or not.  I am shooting for finalizing it by the end of January - I don't like lists that get posted too early and end up missing some good late in the year releases.

I was rather taken aback by looking over some of the lists that are out now.  I have never had so few list items in common = 0.  I am not concerned by it - just perplexed.  I always think more people are listening to whatever I am listening to because - if I am listening to it I assume a lot of others are too.  I think it is the reverse of when a child covers his eyes and thinks no one can see him because he can't see.

Catching Harley Poe live in Kansas City was also a high point for the year.  He was late and did a super fast set but it was magical.  I hope he does some more touring through 2019....and dare I hope for a new record?

I haven't really been looking forward too much - what are you looking forward to hearing, doing, seeing in 2019??
