Scattered Clouds ‎– Take Away Your Summer (Reviewed)

2019 has had a great first half musically.  Still, this album is going to be hard to beat out for album of the year on my list.  I was skeptic that Canadian group Scattered Clouds could equal their first album, The First Empire, but I think they have done it.

They have a sound that is post-punk, post-apocalyptic and dystopian.  It is cloyingly dark and dulls the senses like being in an isolation tank.  It isn't an idle listen, rather an engaging one.

You can hear it in full on bandcamp and see 3 or 4 videos so I don't feel I need to analyse it in great detail - just listen and watch yourself.
