Yello Vinyl Reissues

I gotta say these albums were expensive for no good reason I can tell.  After the surprisingly cheap and beautifully packaged color vinyl reissues of Kraftwerk these pale in comparison.  I postponed ordering these as long as I thought safe, hoping there would be a US release.  No such luck so after crunching numbers I ordered from my local shop, Block Street Records, which gave me the best price I could find.

While checking out the owner did the math a couple of times because he was having a hard time feeling good about charging just under $300 for 5 albums.  Since I had already prepared myself I assured him it was right and thanked him for ordering them.
Now at home listening to these records I am at peace with the purchase price.  I don't feel I got more than my money's worth, but it is just enough.  The music is remarkable still; sounding both futuristic and retro in a way only Yello have ever mastered.
I make the assumption that readers are familiar with Yello, at least some tracks.  These albums are all just as good as most of the catalog with the exceptions of " You Gotta Say Yes To Another Excess" And "Stella" which are both just damn perfect.
No tentative fan is going to pay the asking price for these reissues, but a longtime fan like me just couldn't pass them up.  If you haven't heard the album before I would suggest listening to it first.  For example, "Pocket Universe" is a subtler album than the other four reissues and might be of either more or less interest because of that.

I found no flaws on the vinyl.  All mine are clean and have little to no background noise.  The sound is crisp and bright.  Covers and inner sleeves are nice looking and well constructed.  If you are feeling rich or at least flush enough - I recommend them.
